This post is premature but I just have these hands and body to contend with and get through this day! They are anxious and shaky and I hate the waiting. I had a postitive appt with my doctor and her nurse yesterday. I left feeling totally at ease and actually looking forward to getting this behind me with all the obstacles and compications and trials. At least they are something concrete to deal with and not just the waiting and fear and unknown. I am sooo happy with Dr. Du at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Ma. She kept touching my leg and arm each time I seemed to need comforting and I felt like a real person who she cared about and would take good care of and also help my husband through this since it is a joint adventrue.
I'm going to keep busy this afternoon, eye appt, lab work, then the gym and I should be home by 5ish and she should have called or will call soon after. Then, I have to regroup and start geting my psyche prepared to Tuesday or for 3 weeks. I have stuff I can do to prepare but in the scheme of things they can also wait if it's soon.
Anyway, I just needed to share that and I'll post here agina tonight with mthe date.
Hi Louisa, yes she is great. Very qualified and I totally trust her and her staff. I'm truly blessed to have found her. How is your friend now and how are you?

Thanks for your kind words. It's almost 10pm and I realized about 6ish I wasn't going to hear today. Dr. Du's nurse said she would call after 5 which is when she would know only I never got a call so I'll call in the morning. I'm thinking it's not a go for Tuesday. Not sure how I feel about that yet?? I tried to keep busy all day which I did so that's good. Tomorrow is another day....

Just to update everyone, didn't get a call today so I guess next Tuesday won't be available. Whoever would have thought there are only a certain amount of operating rooms open in any given day and they may all be taken? Of course it makes sense, I know I just never considered that. Some of the surgeries before me are for brain tumors so my heart goes out to them too.
I'll find out more tomorrow hopefully and I can maybe set a date then.
Also, I've been thinking about Kit34 who had surgery today!
