Is it okay to drink alcohol, can it rupture an aneurysm?
As far as I’ve been told, moderate intake is fine. Too much can be bad for everything, of course, including your blood vessels. I would guess there could also be an issue if you are on medications (anti seizure or blood thinners), or have problems with balance or headaches. I have a few drinks a week & no doctor has told me to stop yet.
I even asked my doctor about this. I have to stay away from red wine. I'm good with my single malt scotch. If I want to drink an Oaky Chardonnay (which I really enjoy) she told me to pre-medicate with an Aleve :) I love my doctor !
