So I am scheduled for my coiling today at 0630 am this morning. I get a call at 815 last night indicating that there is a problem with a machine in the cath lab and they have to cancel the procedure. They expected the part for this machine to be in over the weekend but it wasn’t. Thank god they at least called me before we drove and hour and a half to get there. My poor kids took time off from work and we still didn’t know if it would be done tomorrow or not. Got the call indicating they would reschedule for 5/12. Not only was there a problem with this cath lab but also another one. Guess I would rather have them get it right but it is still makes you nervous and really creates problems for loved ones. One would think their maintenance people would be a little better prepared.

I'm sorry you have to wait it out til the 12th now....Its very hard to have to prepare mentally for this type of thing, but to have it cancelled less then 12 hours before the procedure--yikes. Peace to you as you get thru this, I know it isn't easy !

Ah that is tough when you are ready to go...but like you ... I would rather they have all their "i's" dotted and "t's" crossed...wishing you the best...~ Colleen
Waiting is such a hard thing to do and then to have to wait longer after being ready to get it done has to be so trying. My nerves were a wreck as I was waiting for my surgery date.
We definitely want the equipment to be in tip top shape before they use it. I hope you don't go too stir crazy this week.
You are in my thoughts and prayers this week as get prepared again and prayers for the surgery.
