Disability in NJ

What are the steps required to prove disability in NJ? Do you have to take some kinda test? I know most people get denied 1st & 2nd tries, but what’s the process?

I'm in PA. According to my attorney, most people always get denied the first time. I was one of them too. My best advice is, get an attorney right away. You will need a doc. to confirm that you are disabled (in most cases). There's a lot of paper work to fill out. Disability will access your medical records and all tests that you have had done.

Definitly get an att'y. When they win your case for you, they get a pecentage of the amount. It's a set percentage that they get. I think, 25 or 30% of the amount.
