I have my first craniotomy this coming up Friday! The Doc is going for the bigger one on my left side I have a total of three on my left side. He also said there’s a slight chance he might be able to clip the big one on my right side (I have two on my right side). This isn’t my first brain surgery in 2006 I had a craniectomy done for Chiari I malformation but for some reason I’m more nervous about this surgery

You are in my thoughts and prayers. I fully understand the nervousness. I had mine clipped in September 2012. My Neurosurgeon had to give me a tranquilizer to help me to sleep a few days before my surgery. Please let us know if you have any questions. We are all more than happy to help.

Thank You Carol! I. Just worried about recovery and how it will go The Doc told me I couldn’t drive for three weeks and that would be my only restriction I hope he’s right though. My husband was allowed three weeks off then has to go back to work (he’s military) kind of why I’m nervous. How long was your recovery if you don’t mind me asking?
