I can't believe it's almost time for my 6 mo follow-up angiogram. It is scheduled for Feb 27th at 8:00 am at Tampa General. I am a bit nervous - but nothing compared to the first go around. I am really interested to see what they say. My hearing has really declined since my PED - which may or may not be related - and so has my comprehension/recall. Maybe I'm just getting old! LOL
Please say a little prayer for me on the day of my angiogram. You guys are awesome prayer warriors.
Amy, I can't believe it has already been 6 mos either. Time has just been flying by. I am praying that your nerves are calmed and everything is holding in place.
I've been okay. Like I said above - I've been having my fair share of weird symptoms. My hearing has plummeted and my recall is the pits. How have you been dear heart?
hi amy! will do! make sure you write all the questions down , do you have ringing in the ears? or could be unrelated wax build up?maybe time for a ENT dr? Bless you and yours
It is a procedure just like coiling and clipping...the PED is Pipeline Embolization Device...you can also click above on the BAF website Elizabeth and read about this procedure...
Amy...You got it...I will be praying and sending positive vibes your way ~ Colleen
Okay, coiling and clipping I knew about. I'll read up on PED now:) Thanks! Edit...just did. How cool that that's an option now...it was only approved by the FDA in 2011. And reading that "aneurysms successfully treated with the Pipeline will often shrink over time" is promising...
Hi! I am ok. I am having seizures since surgery and so I am on anti seizure meds. A MRI I had done a couple weeks after surgery showed something on the right side of my brain (surgery was on left side) possibly a stroke, so they are looking into that. I am having more good days than I was having right after surgery and I am so thankful for that. Take care. Praying for you!
I am so sorry to hear about the seizures Mary! How scary. I wonder what could be on the right side of your brain. Sounds like they need to do an MRA not an MRI. Praying for you too honey.
I have tinnitus Ron...but in addition to that it feels like my ear is full....hard to explain. Yes I need to go to an ENT for sure. Blessings to you and yours as well.
Hi Amy. I understand about your hearing and the full filling in your ear. I'm like you. Six months since surgery. but I have come to the place in my recovery that a ENT doctor is starting to sound good to me[ a little pun, get it? ENT and sounds good to me? oh well]. Waiting for the good report
Amy,
Best of luck!!! I had my six month CTA last month. Was in and out in no time!!! Much faster than MRI. All is well on this end. I go back for another one in July 2015.
Wow…I’ve been feeling that same pressure/fullness in my ear. My aneurysm was behind my left eye. My doc says it’s related to allergies but I’ve never had allergies before.
