We've got this!

It was just 11mths ago that I had my aneurysm clipping. It's been a roller coaster of a recovery. I developed a huge fear of working out after surgery so I set a goal of running a 1/2 marathon. Well, I did it!!!! On Sunday I finished my first ever 1/2 marathon. It may have seen like a silly goal but I've realized during recovery that if I set goals my recovery doesn't seem so very overwhelming.

Now I just need to figure out how best to set a goal to get through my work days without so much pain. The mental stamina needed for work is hard.

I just wanted to put it out there and remind everyone that no matter what we're all going through we really can do this. We'll have our ups and downs but together we can support each other and make our recovery easier.

Hey Aleki,

This is a GREAT accomplishment! I don't think it's a silly goal at all! This is the kind of affirmation is what a support group is all about!

Good for you! I hope you continue to prosper and excel!

Sending my best,

Susa
