Update

So my mom year is coming close and as she has come very far I still believe she has much further to go,even though at times I think she has reached her potential for now. She is now able to eat even though she is not interested at all. Speech has diagnosed her with vascular dementia. She still gets her words confused like a expressive aphagia. She still has not been able to walk and nor has her wound completely healed (almost there). My question is is there halts in between progress or is it that once the year (or roughly) comes around that it is about the max the brain has healed?

Thank You Jim...its just hard to see no major improvements on my time, which I know my time is only about me!I pray everyday that God has a plan to show that more miracles are coming, but sometimes I wish they were noticable on a much quicker basis.

hi d! yes its true- ditto jims comments. That's one reason this site is priceless!--once i was writing and remembered back--i can now tie my shoes!!!! then i remembered back farther --omg i couldn't even put them on --its the little things sometimes. Will keep you in thoughts and prayers!

hi d !! me again - I even wrote a blog about little things improving-here it ishttp://www.bafsupport.org/profiles/blogs/sometimes-it-s-the-little-things-that-are-big-things

I believe like Jim...the brain continues to heal more and more the first 2 years...but that is just my 2 cents...I do hope this continues for your mother...~ Colleen

Thank you Colleen....your 2 cents means more than that. This is all new and still have alot to learn from those who have been and one that!
