My daughter suffered from two annies in June of 2013. Since then she has daily headaches but quite recently she has been experiencing sharp pain that last only seconds on both sides of her head. She had annie's on right and shunt on left. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what helps with this pain?

I am 10 years post-op now. I still have these sharp pains on the side of my head frequently. I have yet to find anything that helps them. They usually last only a quick second and have definitely improved. I don't get them nearly as often as I used to.
Normally I will try and drink a little bit of water and just take a deep breathe, by then the pain has subsided. If your daughter finds anything that helps please pass along the information.
