Plavix

I’m about to start plavix aspirin for upcoming PED, why is plavix so hard to take, what are side effects? Ty

Plavix is not hard to take. You will bruise more easily while on Plavix.

That's the only side effect I had from it.

Just as A.M. Stated, plavix isn’t hard to take, but you will bruise very easily while on it. For me as well, that was the only side effect.

thank you, good to know, anafa

Bruising VERY easily, even the slightest bumps bruise up terrible. Also, as a woman, if you have monthlies it will be increasingly much heavier than usual the longer you take the Plavix. I never had any cuts while on it, but I'm betting they'll take longer to clot/scab than usual also.

Plavix is known for a side-effect of easy bruising. Bump into something and get a bruise. Some have said that they look like a 'pinto-pony' because of so many bruises. Others not so badly bruised up. You also want to be careful about avoiding getting cut because you will bleed easily.

I wear a medical alert necklace that says, "TAKING BLOOD THINNER" in case I am ever hurt, or sick, and unable to speak to the EMTs or Emergency Room personnel to let them know that I am on Plavix and Aspirin. I have a wallet card that spells out the details and Emergency contacts.

Of course, the Plavix is much better than getting a clot on your PED, so the side-effects are minor issues compared to the danger of not taking it.

thank you all, thank you Aloha for the med ID suggestion and alert card, thank you all, a week and a half away from PED day, grateful for all the experience and hope, Anafa
