I had my sah 11-02-12. I have not had a good recovery. Mass headaches, my head on fire, stabbing pains, memory loss, ect. I have been on 2 new pills and now two of my left hand fingers are numb. New pills I am on are gabapentin and paroxetine. Anyone else have this happen to them?

I forgot about the ears. does anyone else have the sound of your ears popping everytime you swallow?
hi vj! yes we are in same boat 'cept my whole left side is numb and weak, was also on nuerotin/gabapentin which did absolutely nothing, we tried double dose then discontinued, Ear popping was so annoying I thought I was going deaf but it went away after 1 or 2 years. the neck cramps were really bad, thank God they went away too. I hope and pray for escalated healing for you~
Thank you Ron for the thoughts of escalated healing. Was the numbness immediate after your sah? Mine just started going numb within the last week but not really sure when it started. My husband and my mother keep telling me to stop taking my meds. that they are causing me to be the way I am. I don't think so. I think they help but cause other issues they don't like. I prefer the least amount of pain. So if that means that being tired all the time and very forgetful with a little pain, I will take the tired and forgetful. There is only so long a person can take constant pain.

yw! vj, yes it was right away. Yes its easy for others to advise med stop when they are not the ones in pain. I blamed meds for a lot of stuff when I read the scarey sheet that comes with- all the side effects were the same as deficits I was tring to overcome like balance, blurred vision, dizzys etc etc. but when I stopped meds no different. thanks for reply- it helps my memory to see this and recall where and who you are, take care~~
