Hi Nikki,
Sorry I didn't see your post right away. My Dad had a mild heart attack on the 4th and had quadruple bypass surgery yesterday. He's doing extremely well, now I know who I take after.
I definitely will pray for you and your surgeon every day. Keep positive thoughts and tell yourself over and over again you will recover very quickly with no deficits. I think that helped me recover so quickly along with a multitude of prayers. Tomorrow is my 7 week clipping anniversary and I am feeling stronger every day. I feel like I have a snug hairband on my head but even that isn't as snug as it was. You take care and I definitely am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Keep us posted!

Nikki, thanks for your well wishes. My Dad is doing very well. He walked pretty far in the hospital yesterday and he was moved to a regular room by the afternoon. I won't be surprised if he comes home soon.
When does the numb scalp go away? Sometimes I feel like I have a football helmut on, it feels so weird. Anyway, continue to have peace and calmness surrounding you and take care,

Hello Bonnie, glad your Dad is strong.
The numbness on the scalp lasts 3 months, but during that time you should feel it getting better each week, hang in there it will all be normal. I also had itchiness, but when i scatched my head i couldn't feel it. Don't worry it's still early days for you, it was major surgery.
You will be fine and make sure you rest alot, you will heal quicker.

Thanks dear Colleen and Regina, knowing you are praying helps me a great deal.
My surgery is in one more day. I'm going to hospital tomorrow. I'm going to a rehabillitation hospital after my surgery and stay at the major hospital. I will need 24 hour care for 3 weeks post op.
My surgeon insists, he has concerns about seizures. He is a real professional healer. Thank God.
Not looking forward to the shaved half head, i'm going to look like crusty the clown, lol.

God Bless You for a speedy recovery with no deficits. I'm praying for a wonderful outcome for you and also for your surgeon. I know you will do very well, I can feel it.
I know the shaved head is a real downer, I look at my head every day for new hair growth. It's coming in and it's about 1 inch after two months. I guess that's about average.

I will certainly be praying for your total healing and full recovery Nikki. 3 years ago I had right side craniotomy and clipping and was back at work in 4 months. Can’t say all was smooth but I can proclaim that I was held and protected by my mighty loving God and supported by my wonderful family. I pray the same for you dear. This is tough at best so I do pray you have a strong support system. You’re already beating the odds if your aneurysm was discovered in time to be treated. Praying for you! Hugs!
