Implant ID

Does anyone here have or heard of an implant ID?

What do you mean by "implant ID"....do you mean to have something 'implanted'...or any ID to carry around? Sometime back, members discussed getting little pet IDs...that can be done w/the data...

That has been sometime back...I have talked w/my jeweler about inscribing mine on the reverse of my

pendant...

As for implant ID...I understand pets can/may have their ID implanted... I never had that for any of my pets...so do not know basics of it...

Patio,

I am asking about an ID of any kind that informs emergency medical staff that a person has an implant, as in my case-coils and a stent. I noticed in one of the online information pages for after brain aneurysm surgery there was a reminder to carry the “implant ID card” at all times, so I wondered if anyone here has this.

It is probably a good idea to include all vital info on your pendant.

Campanile...I learned post-procedures...that we should carry the info...especially for the stents...and, a 'known' 3 of them, no data was provided... and, I think (apologize for not checking it out)...and, I think it related specifically to f/u MRI.As...

To quickly start...typing up your data...I now carry much...(not in a fancy pet clip - or whatever it is called)...I have my advance directive...the coils / stents (known)....status of brain arteries (known)... any other known...allergies... your CRVS (sp?)...in an envelope in my purse; copies in the glove-box, and the large envelope in my home area... It is for quick access by a 911 or friends/neighbors...for them to be able to know who to contact, etc...for whatever need/purpose...

I was not provided any ID data on coils or stents... If you go online, check the device manufacturer's website for your known data...and, see if they have a "patient data" page... May also attempt it on the FDA website... On my particle stent(s)...the FDA site that noted "patient Info"...contained the "doc's pages"... I have not checked it for sometime to see if it was ever corrected...(Yes, there was a difference on the two sections....and another device..did have the specific 'patient data' and specific "MD data"..)

Yes, on my pendant...just a couple of days ago, I was again @ Costco...and, the two young men...a checker and a packer)...commented on my pendant and asked about it... It has been my 'walk-a-thon'

Campanile...I am 'sort of' chuckling over my own typing/verbiage...However, it may help you understand my research of "cognitive impairment...to Dementias....to 'dementia-like conditions'"... At least, the status of my response, may help you understand my interest in the dementias... (no, they do not run in my family...nor do brain aneurysms...or aortic aneurysms) ...

Wishing you a good weekend...mine is...tho tucked in out of the cold rain...(so incidental compared to so many other states)...
