Having a first coiling sept 17th - nervous - advice?

Hi Jeannie,

What test did they do to see an aneurysm behind the eye? Prayers

Hi Jeannie. Glad to hear it went well with your coiling, but sorry to hear you have headaches, I never experienced after two of mine were coiled! I also had an Opthalmic one and had it coiled in June.

I had a scan two weeks ago and both are now are occluded (fixed) now I need to think about the 3 that need clipping, they will need 2 open surgery proceedures!

I am still thinking about these ones as cutting a 2 hole in the head is different to coiling.

Kind Regards

Martin

They did an MRI and found the aneurysm.

I had two very large annies coiled and stented three months ago. No problems or pain except headaches.

Donna, for me the surgery wasn't scary because I had peace from God that it was the right time to have it fixed. Mine was 5mm ICA. Recovery was the hard part for me. Surgery made me very fatigued, I couldn't do much everything gave me a headache. Watching tv, computer and even reading. I'll be praying for you.

Hugs, Deanna

Hi Deanna - did you have the coiling or clipping? I am very interested in what happens after in coiling procedures.

Thanks.

I was coiled.

Ok, Thanks Jeannie. feel better & God Bless.

I was very tired, too. Still am, actually. Now I’m having trouble sleeping but may be unrelated.

hello donna, I had my aneurysm coiled as an immergency so it won't be the same situation but I think i can re assure you that they have great success with this procedure. They will follow you for a while to check on the coils but it is quite manageable. you'll probably have a day of bed rest the day of procedure (so just try to enjoy the rest) then back to normal. I'm two years out and soooo good. Much luck to you and will keep you in my prayers. donna w

Thank you very much. :)
