Annual Check Up

Hello Friends,

My mom who had a ruptured annie May 2017 is due for her “annual” Angiogram to check on her clip and make sure it is still working for her. Idk why, but I am so nervous to be back in a hospital and have her go through another procedure. I know it’s for the best for her and it is routine, but I can’t help getting that sick feeling in my stomach. What does an annual appointment and angiogram entail? I’m probably making it a much bigger deal than it has to be. Thank you guys for all your help.

At my wife’s first angiogram at six months after coiling they added some coil and a stent, so she was in hospital overnight. The next morning she walked out and was good to go. Subsequent angiograms she was done in a few hours and could leave. The patient has to lie still for the procedure. My wife saw some flashes, but she had no ill effects from the procedure itself. It is the best way to look at the current condition. It will likely be routine.
