1 year Angio

I have my 1 year angio, scheduled for this Friday. On my 6 month angio they decided to put a few more coils in and a stent. Hopefully this time I can be in and out. I've been getting bad headaches lately and a little spacey at night. I hope that's just from nerves and not something being wrong

Think positive thoughts! And good luck!! More than likely it’s nerves- I’ve been there. Try some deep breathing or a hot bath.

Will be thinking of you Mike, I'm only 4 weeks out from my clipping, and I am already anxious by what they might find in 6 months. It is hard to visualize the best case scenario, but so important for your well being to do so. You have to keep positive, easier said than done, I know. It sounds like a case of nerves.

Hi, Mike

I will echo the others and say: "Be positive". While you didn't say where your coils/stents are, I had a very large [14mm] Basilar tip artery annie with coils and stent [surgery July 2013] and at my 8 month angio the annie was totally gone!! The coils "pancaked" down to the stent and operation was 100% success.

I pray you have the same results.

Best,

Sheryl

Thanks everyone.

If I can remember right my aneurysm was at the base of the branch and there was 1on top of the other. That's why they had to put moil coils in back in June. They were unable to see it in January due to all of the blood from the bleed.

Well I'm pretty sure that's what my wife told me. I keep forgetting the details. She actually doesn't want to tell me everything from the night that it ruptured.

Thanks everyone,

The angio went well, but I was wrong apparently this was my 6 month angio.

On what I thought originally was my 6 month last May, was not.

Since at that time they put more coils in they go from that date not the date of the bleed.

Oh well. Now I will have to go back this May for my 1 year

My prayers continue for a positive outcome for you. Until then, put it out of your mind and enjoy something new every day.

Best to you

Congratulations MikeH, a great milestone for you. Hey don't worry about the dates, its all confusing at times. I use my "fixed aneurysm date" as my 2nd birthday now, but that was the big one, now I've a second to fix this spring, so is that another BDate?? As long as things go well. When you are ready, you can always request copies of reports for full info. Star

Great news Mike! Dates are no big thing, just don’t forget your anniversary or your wife might get upset. It took my partner about a year to start giving me some information when I ruptured. It was very hard not knowing if I’d survive the night, much less the procedure and then all the vasospasms. Most times I think it’s was harder on my partner than on me.
