I am so sorry to hear that your mother is having such a difficult time. I cannot even begin to imagine how difficult this must be for you and your family.
I understand that your mother’s surgeon refused to operate because he/she felt that there were too many risks involved. While I generally trust the expertise of healthcare professionals, I do think that second (and sometimes third!) opinions can be very helpful. Have you met with another doctor? If so, I wonder what he/she said?
