Size of aneurysm

I had an MRA today and the size in the report is a 4mmx3mm…does that mean it’s a total of 7mm?

No, pretty sure the size is the largest measurement (i.e. 4mm in your case).

Not sure Jenny, but it is a good question for your Doctors...~ Colleen

Jenny...welcome...

Usually measuring around...the oval aka "berry"... Do also ask the doc about the neck of the aneurysm to help you "see" its shape...presumably the shape is the saccular "berry" shape...the most common...

Was the image (angio, CTA, MRA?) of it reviewed with you? You may want to request a CD/DVD of the images...

Ask the artery name, its segment, its overall status... .which cranial nerve(s) may be anatomically located near it...Ask, which symptoms may be affected by any of the nearby cranial nerves... to what size should it reach before treatment, etc...

Prayers for best explanations, delivery of information...ad, your best decisions and results...

Pat

It’s located at the coratoid and opthalmic arteries. It is saccular. I did get the disk. Thanks pat.
