On this day, six years ago October 20, 2020 I signed my second lease of life. My brain aneurysm that I didn’t know existed was exploding in my head after I had my breakfast. You can read more about this in my profile. I just wanted to share with you that I am still alive and I have recovered extremely well. I don’t get tired as I did earlier, only with a few exceptions and that’s not a big problem. My vision changed to the worse three years ago. I started to have some horizontal double vision but I got new glasses with prisms that took care of that problem. I started with strength training six months ago, three times a week including using the cardio rowing machine and I really like doing this . I asked my neurosurgeon if they had any concerns with my new fitness routine and they said that I should be confident that everything is fine and strength training is good for me. I will have my next MRA with and without contrast in early February next year and I hope everything looks good. I would like to thank ALL OF YOU in this forum for all the support you have given me and continue to give others.
Happy Annie-versary @oct20!!!

We are the ones who are so grateful for all the wisdom and medical expertise that you provide to all of us (as opposed to those of us who are quite the amateurs, pointing finger back at self!)!!! You are an AMAZING success story, and help contribute to the conquering of this rare disease.
I surely hope you are doing something special today to celebrate you!!

Well done Oct2. I am 10 and a half year post rupture and after getting out of hospital almost 10 years ago, I got new prism glasses to correct my double vision. I have to say they are a life saver, I can’t imagine living without them. I too work out each week (three times a week on a recumbent exercise bike and alternate a load of physio exercises to help with upper body strength. S good for you on working on your fitness, I believe it has helped me, and I wish you luck on your continued recovery.
@Ulsterscot Thank you for your reply,You have been through a lot! Good for you that you can exercise, it makes wonders for the soul and body. I agree that the glasses with prisms are a lifesaver. My double vision started just three years ago and my neurosurgeon said that it wasn’t related to my ruptured brain aneurysm, but my eye doctor said the opposite, that it might have something to do with it. I guess I will never know, but I am happy that the glasses work. All the best to you.
Thank your oct20,
I wish you all the best for the future, and keep rowing
An amazing story, thank you for sharing. It is important to hear positive outcomes xxxx
