“Remember there are no shortcuts, son. Quick buck artists come and go with every bull market, but the steady players make it through the bear market.”
This is another phenomenal quotation from Lou Mannheim in the film Wall Street, advising the protagonist, Bud Fox. Again, with the stock market, recovery, and life in general, it’s easier to feel confident and motivated when things are going well. However, it’s just as important to recognize things won’t always be easy, and valuable achievements can still be had during difficult times. When I was studying for my series 7 exam to become a stockbroker, I used to remember Bulls would have a problem climbing down something, whereas it would be easier for a bear. Therefore, bull markets went up and bear markets went down.
