Had my MRI yesterday and the coils have condensed a fraction more than last year. My surgeon would like to do surgery again, but can’t guarantee he can put extra coils in due to it being a small space. I’m very confused as to what to do. If I have the surgery and he can’t add more coils, then it was for nothing. I’m sure my MRI next year will show more compaction of the coils and then I’ll need surgery again. I trust my surgeon completely, but don’t want an unsuccessful surgery. Any advice would be appreciated.
Have you asked your surgeon? Perhaps a stent will help? I hope others will jump in and help out. I have a multilobed aneurysm so when one of the daughters started growing after six months post rupture, my surgeon went back in and recoiled the mother to stop the blood flow to the daughters. Haven’t figured out why they are referred to in the female.
Good luck kat and let us know how it goes!
