Hello everyone! I’ve been lurking around this site for a week or 2 reading everyone’s stories and learning all I can about what to expect. Now I have a date for my PED placement so I wanted to post it and get in on some of this support in this group! I have had so many of my questions answered just by reading all of your comments and discussions (and I have read all of them)! Thanks so much to all of you for taking time to post your experiences and offer prayers and support to others. I am scheduled to have PED placed on Monday November 12th by Dr Hanel at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville Florida.
Hi Charlene,,you are so fortunate to have Dr.Hanel .he did my annie back in feb..he is such a great person as well as a top neurosurgeon..did you know just a few months back he was the only DR in Florida to do the PED surgery..please feel free to contact me at home and i will fill you in as to what to expect..your in great hands and the operation is a piece of cake..joey..407-■■■■■■■■ home cell is 407-■■■■■■■■

Charlene,please call,my wife and i love Dr.HANEL .YOU ARE SO LUCKY .he really is one of the best.the procedure is cake.my annie was 14mm in the basilar artery.very bad spot.i owe my life to him…i will be home about 9:30 am and look forward to speaking with you. be at ease the Mayo is top notch and Dr.Hanel is amazing.He sent my case to be studied to a group of surgeons in NY ,I guess because it was difficult in that artery…call me i willfill you in…your gonna be fine, you have the best working on you,i love going there just to see him,he always happy and i always let him know how much i owe my life to him…joey
Congrats on your daughter marriage! my sister went to a wedding tonight somwhere in the orlando are,it woud be funny and a small world if it was your daughter?

Dearest Charlene, Hope all went well. If you have been looking around on the site you know that for the next few weeks, the more you rest the quicker you will heal. Like I have said before, I think you brain knows someone was poking around in there, so it becomes quite suspicious. Take your meds for anxiety.You are now a Princess for a few weeks, "poof".
Happy Holidays Charlene i hope your feeling well,rest is your best friend now , the headaches will go away i promise! Denise is right about the rest part..dont over do it.
@Joey, When you refer to your dr. you write Mayo, yet you write in Florida. We are going to be moving to Florida and was hoping to find a good Dr. there.
Hi Denise,i have two neurosurgeons in florida..DR. Micheal Bellew in Winter park,,now he does the PEDS .also...top in his field..then DR.Hanel at the MAYO clinic in JACKSONVILLE..who has proctored many surgeons with the PED...BOTH ARE EXCELLANT DOCTORS..DR.Hanel was the only one qualified at the time i needed the surgery What area are you moving to ?.Denise, the Mayo Cinic is located right in Jacksonville ,,nice hospital..DR.BELLEW has his office in Winter park and works out of florida south hospital..nice hospital also,, feel free to call if you have any questions..i would not hesitate for a second to have DR. Bellew do a ped surgery on me..hes done 4 Angios on me..call me 407 737 7260....i wanna hear from.Charlene also and pray shes doing well!
@Joey,I had my PED in jun, I go back in 2 weeks for my 6 month. Our home is on the market. We will be moving to the villages community..45 minutes north of orlando.I can still travel to Maryland, but in case I need someone its good to know!
