I just mentioned this to Butterfly...(re: my former memory lapse)...
The data is so impressive...caught my attention when David Eagleman made a statement on the "vision and hearing" connection...
That is something in my back-thought...an addition to the visual pathway and the cranial nerves related...
Easy to pull up the 'subject' on-line...and/or check your PBS schedule...
Hope some will enjoy this PBS presentation... .
After it was over...a long-term friend (since we were sophomores) called asking if I saw it...(she knows my pineal gland scheduling of my sleep patterns)...She has an advanced interest in "the brain"...as she was diagnosed with MS before she was 40...and, last year, she lost her husband to AD...
Sounds like a really interesting program, Patioplans! Thanks for sharing it with us.
ModSupprot...thank you...
In viewing online, I also read another book title ... of his...
Called B&N asking what they had...and for 'help' in getting the right title...and, ordered two...
1: The Brain: The Story of You came in 10/06/15...
2: Incognito: The Secret Lives of the Brain in May 2012...
Both of these of David Eagleman...I have not done his history/titles...he is into neuroscience...
My memory has "zippo"...of his first book...or his name... until this current PBS...
I ordered both books from B&N...and should have them in a few days... can share w/friend who called me the other night...I am such a believer that we need to learn / understand the parts 9structures?) of our brain that are affected...
Again, ModSupport...thank you...again for your support to this site. .

The Books...I received late Friday... and, have barely begun them...
One thing I so push myself to do...read/review (at least glance at) my daily NY Times...
Yesterday, 10/25/15 it had an article: Can You Get Smarter which can be located online beginning w/NYTimes...
One thing that is so interesting to me...is that so much of this article is related to "aging"...and, not to injury/damage...But, it is another one, due my 74 years...that I am so glad I have done the repetitive neuropsych tests... because they track from 'no change'...to improvements...to declines...to help in which tests to add and/or delete...
The one book (apx a year ago?) I noted somewhere...was titled Do No Harm by Henry Marsh...(as I understand (remember?)) who is a retired neurosurgeon in the UK...His second chapter relates to "aneurysm"...
No, I have not completed reading it/others yet... I had ordered one for a long-term friend ...she read hers
as readily as all of her reading...who quickly called to tell me about his chapter 2 on 'aneurysms'...
In viewing the David Eagleman's Incognito...there are prior articles and books of his listed in the intro...
I so hope these various books help us to better understand brain structures and functions...to help all of us...survivors, spouses/partners...family/friends to help us all understand our varied recoveries...
Wednesday 11/04, my PBS had a f/u of: The Brain with David Eagleman
(and, yes, I need to read more...and watch again and again...the PBS sessions)
Online he has lots of data/article:
http://www.braincheck.com
http://www.eagleman.com/blog/braincheck
http://www.eaglemanlab.net
There are numerous others... on PBS: (intermittently w/their programs) are:
David Perlmutter, MD, Neurologist, who has his clinic in Florida; and also has interconnected w/Harvard and where ever else...my memory is slipping...
Rudy Tanzi, Phd ... @ MGH and Harvard...his neuroscience lab...search by his name..
There are other sites online... to help us understand our brain functions...and those that cover anatomy...
I so hope that these will help many of us to better understand the limbic system...the central base area of our brain...and, where our basic arteries access from the aortic arch...near our hart...
And, to open questions for many of us to ask our neurologists/other MDs...
P.S....if I have misspelled/mistyped...any / all connections can be made from searching their names alone...and, long lists will come forth...
