I find when ever I feel good I over do it. Today woke up feeling great. Went to church, doing laundry, house cleaning, cleaned 2 chairs that smelled like dog ewwww...high sense of smell. I still have the office to clean...have Avon orders to process...yada yada yada
on good days I know I do too much but so far behind I try to take advantage of the good days...but end up paying for it later. how about you?
I've never been one to jump up out of bed and say :"lets go crazy and clean!" -- ever--aneurysm or no aneurysm, then again i've been pretty fortunate in my recoveries all in all . So, don't go crazy Camille, take it a little slower if you think you'll wind up paying for it down the line. Peace , Janet
That is the worst feeling in the world! And you want to feel better so badly so you do push when you're feeling good, then you feel the big smackdown the next day. I'm over a year since my surgery now and though I have loads more energy, I still find myself having to tell myself to slow down, decide what's really important that I get completed and do that and nothing else. It's a game of balance really. And when you lose you don't pass go, or collect that $200.00. ;)
Hang tough, make lists, check things off -- it makes you feel good when you accomplish something. Take breaks more often. Force yourself to take care of you first... easy to say, hard to do when you're used to putting everyone else first, but it needs to be in the forefront of your mind or you wind up drowning in a sea of oh my god, what did I get myself into?
