Good morning

I wasnt sure who could answer these questions , but i was wondering who i would connect with if i wanted to start a fundraiser here in Maine for the foundation?

My next question is about the available webinars that are open for public registration. I see that there is one coming up on the 24th of this month but it seems to be geared towards physician’s? Are we still allowed to join and observe the conversation as patients or no?

With regard to events, you’d need to contact someone at BAF rather than BAFsupport. BAFsupport is operated on behalf of BAF by Ben’s Friends in BAF livery rather than by BAF themselves.

BAF used to post info about webinars on this forum but they haven’t done so for a long time. Please make sure you’re not looking at a 2025 post rather than a 2026 post. I’ve never known BAF staff respond to posts on the forum, though: they tended to use it as one-way.

It has been years, about a decade I think since they quit responding! It was just too much for the one poor soul they had who kept every thing updated. She may have retired or moved to a different position or perhaps a new job.

By the way “livery” is not the horse stable which is exactly where my American English went to. :rofl:. So to clarify Mr. Richard’s older English English I went here Oxford English Dictionary

When you call or email the BAF themselves, just ask both your questions, I’m sure they’ll help you out! If they don’t, let me know and I will try to get you some help from them…most of them know me and know I can be like an old dog with a bone​:zany_face::joy:

By “livery” I just mean uniform. For example, if a business tenders out franchises, those franchises operate using the colour scheme, logos and so on of the business. So Ben’s Friends have created this site with the colour schemes and logos of BAF and operating the site is paid by BAF but, as you say, they’re largely absent.

I don’t understand a word of that OED entry.
