I found this site after getting a call from my dad this morning. My brother (who is 40 living with my dad) was found very lethargic, had not eaten for 2 days). My dad called rescue and he was taken to the hospital. The did and MRI and found bleeding on the brain. He was transferred to Temple University. He is now in surgery. They are attempting the coil procedure. I am very frightened. I had an aunt who died from an aneurysm. Now we are sitting and waiting. I just needed to find others who might Know what is happening. I am not in Philadelphia at the moment and can't be with him :( I feel helpless.
Hello , wishing all the best for your brother. It's good they are mending him at hospital. There are many cases like this, that turn out successful, so don't worry too much.
Hang in there. I am sure he is in good hands. Thoughts and prayers are coming your way! This happened to me a year ago this July and I am doing great now. :) XOXO
It's understandable to feel that way. You would also feel that way if your were at the hospital. Best you can do is pray for a speedy recovery. The second thing you can do is get yourself screened at some point due to the family history. It's not urgent but something you should be screened for. Let us know if you have any questions and how he fairs out. Good luck and God Bless.
Thank you Colleen! The surgery went well however, he has pneumonia. An unexpected complication :( Your prayers are welcome and I will add you to my prayer list as well.
Most likely, however, it will also include that you provide any risk factors such as smoking etc. Answering these questions also have ramifications because the answers end up on charts which can affect past and future health, life and disability insurance costs and coverage.
Oh Gosh...hopefully Doctors can get the pneumonia under control...keeping him and all of you in my thoughts and prayers...remember another thing..."the littlest improvements after brain surgery can be big..."...Hang in there ~ Colleen
