Heather! I am so sadden for your situation and know exactly what you’re going through. May I ask what state you in? I had a delay waiting on insurance coverage for mine. However the hospital had agreed to fully cover & do my surgery without my insurance as it was a medically needed. But the state public assistance insurance I had applied for came thru in my favor before the surgery. So they say they had to bill them even though it was their fault my bone flap disappeared. I urge you to continually contact the hospital or doctor for help & apply for any state/public assistance. The whole time mine was delayed my surgeons nurse & even the hospital social worker had no offers of advice or recommendations. Then one day I tried another person when I couldn’t reach who I thought I needed. This person was my surgeons coordinator & she made one quick call to someone in the hospital & had it approved for me to have my surgery with no insurance. And this happened after I had talked to several people that didn’t help over months. So don’t give up tell your story/situation to any every & all that’ll listen. I wish I could help you myself. You will get one sooner than later & together we’ll be someone inspiration. When I go Monday to have my sutures removed I’ll try to find out more info for you. Wish u the best Love, Toi
Thank you soo much Tori I am in Arizona and because my son doesn't live with me I don't quallify for state insurance he went to live in foster care because with my accident I was in the hospital 5 months 1 of wich I was in a coma & was unplugged from life support so they thought I was going to die I'm grateful they were there for him when he couldn't be cause he was only 11 when it happened & I look forward to him coming home but hope to be done with the medical stuff before then as I think he has indured enough. I get a weekly visit with him & this weeks its today at 2:30 so my day will be blessed regardless to what happens as long as the world doesn't blow up b4 2:30. :) have a great day
