Hi, Ron. I have never had a problem with MSG, although my mother cannot eat it - it caused a headache in her also. It is pretty common for people to have a reaction to MSG, so I am always surprised when I still see it in food. Most Chinese food used to have MSG as an ingredient, but a lot of Chinese restaurants stopped using it.

I have never tried Chick Fil A -there is not a restaurant close to me. Danielle and I love some of the Schwann's foods and we order Spicy chicken breasts and curly fries!! I haven't tried their regular chicken breast, but I bet it is good.

Take care, Sherri

Hey Ron! Did you ever think it was the salt?

oh no, never noticed salt , i have noticed msg, also whatevers in claritin makes me spacy

Before the aneurysm, as a young adult I used to munch on all kinds of instant noodles and snackfoods with MSG in them, and never noticed anything unpleasant at all (except maybe my gut). I continued to do this even after the aneurysm, and did notice unpleasant feelings which I eventually did after some time connect to the consumption of those MSG food items. So now I tend to avoid the stuff. I'll still buy those instant noodle packets to boil and eat, but I'll throw away the MSG-loaded flavour pouches.
