Anxiety after coiling?

Coiling was done July 11th. Starting to get anxious and feel overwhelmed. Having trouble sleeping even though I feel exhausted. Am resting alot and not doing much of anything and think this is where the anxiety is coming from. Before coiling I would pray, read my Bible, listen to music, or take a bath to relax but this has the opposite affect right now. Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas on what might help? Thanks.

Deanna

Hi Deanna...anxiety is a normal reaction to this process...remember many here, including me were diagnosed with PTSD...if these things cause anxiety...try something else...a nice walk...a good mystery book to read...

a good movie...and/or just relax...

yep ptsd is the word, if it is really bad seek medical help.

Thanks Colleen, all good ideas. Part of the problem is that I can't read for more than 15 minutes without getting a headache and to much tv does the same thing. This adds to the stress and frustration because I still can't do much.

This to shall pass.

Laurie,

Thanks I will make appointment with my doctor for next week.

Deanna

Deanna, I am feeling the same way! What ended up helping you?

Hi, Time and rest is what helped. Everyone is different, and for me the ptsd didn't last very long. Surgery just threw everything out of wack for me. I'm still dealing with light and noise issues but they are getting better. As boring as it can be rest, rest and more rest is what you need to heal.

Hugs, Deanna
