4 days post coiling of unruptured aneurysm

Hi everyone,

I hope you’re all enjoying the weekend. I just wanted to update you following my coiling surgery on Wednesday of last week.

AcomA neck was wider than anticipated, but consultant managed to place one large coil successfully and also a smaller one. The smaller one has a very slight protrusion, but this shouldn’t cause issues.

All went well and I was discharged home two days later! Thank you all for your support, I’m so glad this stressful time is coming to a close and wanted to reassure those with upcoming procedures that, yes it’s stressful and uncomfortable before during and after the surgery, but a few days later, when you come out the other side, it’ll all be worth it

Daniela,

It’s great to hear from you on this side of the op! I’m glad it went well and I hope you found it to be not as scary as perhaps you felt beforehand? That’s certainly how I felt when I had my embolization.

Thank you for sharing how you got on. It is great to hear from you!

Very best wishes,

Richard

Congratulations to the successful procedure. It’s good to be on the other side of this event. Take care of yourself and rest when you need.
All the best to you.
