2nd aneurysm

I had an aneurysm rupture 6 months ago. It was 6 mm when it ruptured and they were able to coil it. I made a full recovery, but they also discovered another one which is 2.2 mm. My doctor said that being that I have already had one rupture, the odds of another one rupturing is more likely. He has given me the option of surgery or wait to see if it grows any larger. I just had my 6 month scan and it has not grown in the past 6 months. He said if I was 10 years older, he would recommend surgery. I guess this confuses me, because I thought that most doctors won't think about surgery until they are at least 5 mm. Has anyone else experienced this situation?

Missy ive not been in your situation (im waiting clipping of one annie and the other is watch and wait) but if theyre saying they will recommend it in 10years then personally id opt for treatment now. Mainly because it wont grow and the odds of succesful surgery are better the younger you are. Its such a difficult decision :frowning:
