29 October 2024 - 5 New Members!

Hello everyone! I hope everyone had a fantastic month of October, as we turn the page to November. Please help me introduce our newest members!

@totallyforgiven is in Pennsylvania, United States. Rick had a successful heart ablation surgery in July 2024, but shortly went unresponsive for several hours. When the doctors did a CTA, they found a 7 mm brain aneurysm in the Anterior Communicating Artery. A month later, it had grown to 8 mm and was between his eyes. The doctors are talking about surgery, but he will be meeting with the neurosurgeon the first of November. I hope he can find support in our community.

@caile is in Manitoba, Canada. Heather used to be a nurse and incidentally discovered her brain aneurysm in September during an MRI for possible trigeminal neuralgia. She has since extracted the tooth causing the trigeminal symptoms, but is now dealing with her brain aneurysm diagnosis.

@evee is in Campania, Italy. Evee has discovered a brain aneurysm of 3 mm.

@Javier is in Colombia. Javier was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm in September. His brain aneurysm is in the right hemisphere at the carotid artery bifurcation. I hope he can find answers to his questions in the community.

@carmen is in Washington, United States. Sherri incidentally found two brain aneurysms (left and right) while having an MRI last week and is still waiting for treatment options.

I hope everyone is doing well and feeling supported within the community. I encourage you all to continue sharing your stories and updates as well as seeking advice and asking questions. If you have any questions about posting on the forum, please contact @moderators and we will be glad to help.

2 posts were split to a new topic: Who Else Is Watching And Waiting?

Hi! Thanks for the introduction. Grateful I found this community.
Hope some one here could help me understand the approach the doctors suggested me. Wait and watch… is there someone in the same condition? How long is it possible to watch before taking a decision? I have this 3mm aneurysm and I am scared it can bleed anytime… i don’t know if I should insist to have a treatment ore just follow and trust the doctors.

Welcome @evee!

Alas, I am not able to answer your question directly, as I was part of the rupture club. That being said, I know there are several others on here who have been/are on the “wait and watch” process, so you are definitely NOT alone.

I fear that your question may get a little bit lost in this thread. So, to really highlight it, you may wish to start a “New Topic,” and repost your question. There are a few categories, but most folks tend to put topics in the “General” category. (See example below.)

We will be here to support you with whatever you decide to do moving forward!
