25 March 2025 - Welcome 11 Members!

Hello everyone! I hope March treats everyone well as we start to move into the next month of April. Please help me in welcoming 11 new members to our community!

@FoundScar is in Down, Ireland. Found had hair thinning which started to show a craniotomy scar, although they are unaware what the surgery was for. They also have a skull flap which they had just assumed was an odd lump above the right eyebrow. They experience head/jaw pain and numbness on a daily basis, but assumed it was from splitting their head open when younger.

@yin is in California, United States. Yin’s brother recently had a ruptured aneurysm while traveling overseas and they are trying to learn more to support his treatment and recovery.

@Jetzer1027 is in Illinois, United States. Chuck and his wife just had their second baby and 3 months later he was laying down when he heard a loud pop sound in the back of the head. The pain caused vomiting and spent about 2 and a half weeks in the hospital for his rupture, where it was treated via clipping.

@Janine27 is in New York, United States. Janine was on a Zoom call last November and had a terrible headache. She had a subarachnoid hemorrhage with two emergency brain surgeries and was in the ICU for weeks then rehab for 2 weeks.

@slabounty is in Florida, United States. In the summer of 2021 Suzanne noticed a drooping eyelid with minor vision impairment that got worse over the months. The eye doctor gave her new glasses prescription and a diagnosis of third-nerve palsy. In early 2022, she experienced the “thunderclap” headache and stiff neck, but the ER CAT scan did not show anything and she was sent home only instructed to take Motrin. The headache continued for months, and with four doctors and three brain scans, she was finally diagnosed with a brain aneurysm that had “leaked and stopped” several times. It was treated via 3 endovascular coils. In the process, a second aneurysm was found but is too small to repair so Suzanne yearly gets an MRA to monitor it. The only remaining physical impairment is a partially paralyzed eye that affects the eyeball and pupil movement and vision.

@sew_short_circuited is in Washington, United States. In 2017, when Cheryl was 55, she unexpectedly collapsed after dinner with headaches and other unusual symptoms. Thankfully, they live close to a hospital and the first responders were able to quickly stabilize and the appropriate staff were able to provide the immediate medical assistance for her rupture.

@ENes is in South Carolina, United States. In December/January, Ebony had an MRI where an aneurysm was found. It was just recently treated via embolization and they are still recovering.

@PodM2025 is in New York, United States. Olivia was just diagnosed with two 4 and 3 mm brain aneurysms on her ICA a few months ago.

@Ree is in Tasmania, Australia. Cherie was recently diagnosed and is still waiting to see a specialist.

@Tlcallen is in Minnesota, United States. Theresa had a stroke in January (age 47) and the MRI to confirm the stroke also discovered an aneurysm that was treated via coils.

@c0nsilience is in Oklahoma, United States. Benjamin had a ruptured aneurysm this past February and was in the ICU for 3 weeks. It was treated via coiling and he is still recovering at home doing physical therapy every week.
