23 Aug 2026 new members!

Good Morning world! I’ve been up since 0330 as Nina decided it was time to get up. I slept most of Friday and definitely yesterday so maybe she’s tired of being tired. Had a tooth pulled, there was no saving it, the infection was really bad apparently. We beat the donkey across the street getting up. I see being up before the donkey as a small win. He has always wanted to eat about 10 minutes before the girls are fed. Bless his heart, he used to wake up his owner who’d give him some grain for protecting his herd. His owner has moved and a neighbor has taken to feeding him. He usually starts in around 4:30 and keeps at it until someone gives him his grain.

I get the 3 in 1 special to fix things in my left arm and hand. BH did ask if we could wait until after we came back from TX. Surgeon doesn’t want her patients traveling after surgery and I will need to go straight into PT when the month of wearing the contraptions are done. Sadly that means I have lost the bet. I bet Mr. T and Ms. B that they wouldn’t see me this year. I was wrong, they were correct. Ms. B gets her coffee and Mr. T prefers hot chocolate with mini marshmallows. I learned decades ago to never make a bet you cannot afford to lose. Besides my uncles who would not give a kid a break pitching pennies, my first job was at a thoroughbred race track. I saw a gentleman who had everything Mercedes 450SLC which was the car to own, jewelry that would make Mr. T look like he forgot some chains and of course he owned a home in Bel Air. The problem was he spent days at the track and not at work. About half way through the summer, he shows up in an old broken down VW bug, no jewelry, no more Italian suits and shoes, worse he has no family. His wife was able to get an attorney and changed the locks on the house.

Sometimes I see us as folks who gamble, not in a going to lose everything we hold dear type of bet but more a I bet you I can type of bet. We get our aneurysms repaired and then we have to get on the road to recovery. Where we once knew what needed to be done, now it can be a guess and if we have enough energy to do the job. I think for most of us we have to learn to pace ourselves. Set our goal and take the steps to reach it. It’s no different from how we used to set goals but it can be very different in reaching them. Find work arounds if you have to, don’t barrel through the steps, much easier to just walk around. Most importantly ask for help! That can be a very hard lesson to learn but it makes life so much easier.

Next week Mr. Richard will be doing the Welcomes as we are heading to Texas for my great nephew’s celebration of life next Sunday. I look forward to reading his words of wisdom as mine seem not to be going anywhere. Now on to our new members to welcome

@NewToCharlotte Is here in North Carolina. Deanna share she has a beautiful 28 year old daughter, is a California native and a military veteran. She went to the ED for vertigo and they found two aneurysms in her brain after getting scanned. Deanna shares she is afraid.

@ChrisS is up in Illinois and is scheduled for a consultation in September. Chris went to the ER with ches and neck numbness, faint feeling. CT scan was a last ditch effort and the found 3 aneurysms, 2 cavernous segment, 5 mm on the right carotid and 3.5 on the left carotid and one mid M1 segment 5.3mm with a 2.1 mm neck. Chris says she’s a happily married housewife for 37+ years now, has a great sense of humor who loves German Shepherds admittedly all animals and gardening.

Wow Ladies that’s a lot to find incidentally. Deanna come talk to us under the General tab, we can help you by sharing our experiences, hopefully giving you a way to handle the fear. Chris, my goodness, I think humor really helps. In fact my brain is trying to fit your aneurysms into the fight song from football days. Come talk to us too! We are here to share our experiences. If you run into problems navigating the site reach out to myself @Moltroub or the kind folks @ModSupport and one of us will help you out. Remember to give us time as we cover different time zones. I’m on usually in the mornings.

For those of you who have been here a while and have helped out other members, thank you, thank you! Always makes me proud to see so many helping others out!

Have a great week everyone! Be kind to others, hydrate, rest, eat protein…
