I am finding it difficult to navigate through it. I wonder if anyone is monitoring the rate of discussion to see whether the new format is decreasing chats since it is not as user friendly as the old format.
Hi Michele,Thank you for your note. The platform that the site had been hosted on previous had recently been sold to another vendor and during the transition our site had experienced many security and reliability issues. Although the new site will take some time for existing members to become familiar with, Ben’s Friends felt it necessary to protect the members security. We looked at Chat specifically as that is the one feature of the new site that is very different and the frequency on our old platform in chat had dropped significantly in the past year and felt the new site would not hinder the functionality. Ben’s Friends and BAF have been monitoring the usage and see membership continue to increase to help support more members. The discussion threads have slowed a bit but that is to be expected with any new implementation of software. Let us know if you have any questions and the moderators on the site will be more than happy to address any issues you are having or if you need any guidance in a specific area of the site.
Enjoy the weekend!

Michele, things take time to learn. Deb C gave a really good explanation of what happened. I can say at 56 and having survived three years from a pretty serious rupture, it takes me longer to catch on then it did before. I tend to come on for a few minutes and try to remember the steps I take to read something
We don’t have separate groups now, but like a big extended family, we are all here to help each other out. I struggled big time when I first came to this support group, received help, and eventually learned to navigate. Best thing to do is to keep trying and in a little while, we will be able to navigate this site as easily!
