Last night for about ten minutes I had a whooshing sound in left ear. I have an unruptured 4.5mm Annie. I have also been having numbness in my arms again. I used to have this before my annie but it’s returned with a vengeance. Dr hospital or unrelated?
Call your doc...and/or go to ER... do not know your time zone...
My memory is lapsing if you had treatment or are in monitoring or decision process?

Got Gp at 2 its 10 now. Waiting on treatment get date in May.
Please have your Doctor check your CAROTID Arteries for Fibromuscular Dysplasia. SWISHING noise is a common symptom and one of causes for Brain Aneurysms. I am a prime example of this. I have FMD OF Cerebral, Cartoids and Renal Arteries. I hate the SWISHING Noise....keeps me awake at night. Good luck and God Bless
Robin...
Was the Swishing noise one of the symptoms that brought you in for testing/diagnosis? How long did you have the swishing before you sought diagnosis?
When you have the swishing noise, can you feel, or sense, it in any of the artery areas?
FMD is in my written records...not in the diagnostic records...added to my confusion...
Hope we can discuss more...
Blessings to you,
Pat
the swishing noise had been there for at leased 5 years, along with massive right sided headaches with facial numbness. I got up one morning with god awful neck pain and massive headache. I had accident 3 weeks prior, went doctor and was told whiplash. Long story short, was bleed on brain of aneurysm caused by accident on water float on lake that jerked me very hard. The FMD was found during coiling. One diagnosis lead to another, and the fact I have had high blood pressure for along time they looked at renal arteries. The right Cartoid artery is almost 100% occluded. The Cartoid stenosis is what causes the swishing noise is what I was told by my team of specialist.
Robin...thank you for sharing...I was involved in two MVAs four months apart...headaches began (I did not even own aspirin!)...apx 5 years later the leaks/ruptures began...I never had swishing noise until after treatment; for me entitled tinnitus...
One of my artieries is also of record as ...consistent with FMD... so now we know we are not at all alone...mine not at all related to the aneurysm...
What was, has been, your treatment? Do you have follow-ups?
Wishing you a great weekend...we are back to cold weather/rain... I will be tucked in... met w/two long-term friends late yesterday...it was dry and easy to drive...

I had ANGIO/Coiling for 1 cm Brain Aneurysm. 6 months Later, another Angio with ballooning of both Renal Arteries. I have 6 month visits with Team of Specialist at UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA. IT'S 2 hours from where I live. It will be a lifetime of Follow up MRA'S, Doppler Sonograms, Angiographys, and CT scans. I am at a risk of more aneurysms and the stenosis from the FMD has to be watched. Hope this helps. Please keep in mind, I have been told if FMD is in one area it is highly likely to be in other areas of the vascular system. I am praying for you. The swishing noise I have had to learn to live with. It's usually worse when Blood Pressure is up. I take a Full dose ASPIRIN, Blood Pressure Med. to help. Have a great weekend.
Robin, thank you for sharing...
Yes, I had done some research awhile back...you jogged my curiosity because I do not remember other members addressing FMD...
We are like in reverse order as mine was in the initial diagnstic angio record, and if I interpret your words... your FMDs were diagnosed after your treatment, like during the f/up angio?
Wishing you a great weekend, too... our weather is on/off...
