Weird funk

not thrilled at neurosurgeons visit! He said my findings were spine cord stenosis and basically cited old age! More x rays, mri ordered. the vibe of his attitude was not well received by me or my Niece, he seemed distant and robot-like. He walked in and said hello, Whos this? at my Niece! lol This phase of journey is 2 years of tests and I am not as positive possibly facing the knife!! yikes! 11my issue was arm paralysis btw Prayers for all Amen

You’ve been through a lot in life brother, just hang in there! Wish every specialist took a class in positive, respectful manners. Really, how hard can it be to be nice? Having meet several who have 0 manners over the years, I have been known to ask if their caregiver failed to teach them or if once they got out of university, they thought manners were beneath them.

I had to have a nerve conduction study for issue with my right arm just so the neurosurgeon’s NP could order the MRI for my neck. Apparently my Medicare wouldn’t approve it otherwise. Every MRI for my spine has shown some level of stenosis since I first started having them done many decades ago. The neurosurgeon who did my lumbar repair said the X-rays didn’t really show it well but once he got in there, it looked like shrapnel all around my spine and cord. He kept me on some really strong medication so I would have to stay non active. We got rid of the recliner I was in for either 8-10 weeks, maybe longer. PT started a week or two after that surgery. I’ve declined the neck surgery for the pinched nerve using it as a last resort. PT has kept me from the knife. If yours will order PT in the interim, it should help at least. Just have to do the stretches even after they release you.
