I’ve had a stent assisted coiling procedure over 10 years ago and take 325 mg aspirin daily. I have a unrelated surgery coming and was asked my the surgeon if I can be off aspirin. I’m trying to contact the neurosurgeon, but until then, does anyone have experience with this?
I cannot answer your query personally. I hope other members who have had surgery and was asked to stop their aspirin, etc come on and let you know their experience. Hopefully, your Neurosurgeon’s office will reply quickly. Mine responds within 24 hours for non emergency related things through my portal. Best of luck to you!
I certainly can’t speak to your circumstance, but I can tell you that my neurosurgeon has told me that I am on aspirin for life. No exceptions - everyday. I don’t ask anymore.
