I was coiled May 2013. Recently, I had pain in my left temple which was severe. I then couldn't open my mouth to even swallow water without the pain coming back in both temples. I went to be checked as it was a new pain. They thought maybe it was temporal arteritus but my blood test was normal. I was later admitted to Hospital with a sudden severe headache and had a CT scan and a few weeks ago, an MRA. All was normal and my coils were fine too. I am still getting the temple pain and I also get pain like you, in my neck and the base of my skull too. I get a pressure feeling at the side of my head as though my skull is being compressed. I have low blood pressure and no one has found a reason for this pressure sensation or the pain. Hope this helps.
Unfortunately I have this. I have constant headaches and sometimes I have stabbing and tingling with it. Sometimes it feel like ants are crawling all over my head (drives me nuts.) I have a sever stiff neck and back all the time now. No energy to. I really don't think my Dr's believe me or they have no idea how to help me as they just keep pushing me pills and send me on my way. Let me know if you find anything that works. I have had shots to the back of my head that worked for a few days but OMG so not worth the pain of the shots.
