New here/Info on follow-up post clipping

Hello, this is my first time writing! I was dx with my unruptured aneurysm (left MCA) on this past Halloween (go figure…dirty trick), and had my clipping done on 12/2/16. I am curious for anyone else who has had a clipping, what has been your standard follow-up? I had 2 CT’s and an angio while in the hospital postoperative, and will be undergoing my first CT-A tomorrow (for my 3-4 month f/u). I am concerned with all of the radiation I am receiving. My neurosurgeon said, at my post-op visit in January, that my aneurysm had occluded based on the imaging done in the hospital. I have read that MRA does not give the best images due to artifacts from the clip. Is it normal to have a CT-A 3-4 months post-op? I believe after this, I was told I would be having another in 3 more months, and then every 6 months for awhile before it becomes the annual angio. I do have a family hx of cerebral aneurysms, so I know it is wise to be proactive, but the radiation is still a concern. I have a brilliant neurosurgeon, but these type of questions are hard to bring up to him. Your feedback is much appreciated!
