Maine Medical Center Virtual Support Group - August 31, 2023 at 6:00PM

This month, we will have an interactive presentation - Laura Lorenz will share her experience using photography for social change. The approach is called photovoice, and it involves people like you taking photographs, writing captions, and creating awareness and positive change through exhibits and advocacy. For 20 years, Laura has facilitated photovoice with people living with brain injury, girls, youth, people living with anxiety disorder, immigrants, and many others. She has a PhD in health policy and health services research, and “living with brain injury” has been a major focus of Laura’s work. Her presentation will share the process, benefits, and outcomes of photovoice, and you will see some photos by people living with brain injuries in Massachusetts. Be ready to have some fun!

We hope to welcome new folks and trust past attendees will continue to join us as we share challenges and concerns with others who have been through similar experiences.

PLEASE EMAIL: Dave@MaineBA.org to REGISTER and we’ll send you the REQUIRED LINK to join the meeting either by internet video or by phone.
