It sounds like you have had a traumatizing experience in so many ways. One of the main themes I gathered from your story is the failure of your doctor to communicate with you. We trust and rely on medical professionals to be transparent, clear, and organized, and how disheartening to hear that you feel so misled and neglected. I am from Ontario as well, and to hear your description of a physician “yelling” and scolding your mother for crying sends shivers up my spine. I am so glad you found this community, and I hope you find the support you deserve.
Some members of our community arrive having felt a lack of support in their personal lives; they feel lost and scared.
