Hi Just had surgery 1-11-11 for left carotid ophthalmic artery aneurysm and SCARED!

I was treated in Buffalo, NY at Mercy Hospital on Abbott Rd. It took about 2 weeks for the constant headaches to stop, then just the occasional headaches. Now almost 8 weeks out hardly any headaches. Severe sensitivity to light, and a definite change in eye sight. I needed readers occasional before and now I need them to see what I'm eating. Changed a bunch. Still have my distance but that's it, need bifocals for everything. But I feel I got off luck. Could have been a lot worse! Hope this helps Ricardo.

Good luck on appointment! Margaret

Ben, that is so lovely! I have a happy place as well  Thanks for sharing yours!

Lisa,

I missed this awhile back...Yes, I do acupuncture; and did craniosacral and massage therapy; I also do the acivator (light touch) chiropractic. I do minimal yoga at home, and need classes to expand it so I don't sit / position / move wrong...

Mararet,

Can you get to see a neuro-oph, or have you already?

Pat

No I havent. I will look into it. THX

Honey, you have a long road ahead of you but you have to take it easy and not rush back into things as you were pre-operative. I still struggle with so much now and I am 7 almost 7 years after my first operation which was a craniotomy. Nothing in this world could ever prepare anyone for that surgery or what happens afterward. I went blind in my left eye for a year and a half, everytime my head moved, I could hear the clip inside my brain squeaking, I could go on and on. Jang in there, hopefully you have a sometype of support system for you. I had to learn how to walk again as I just couldn’t. I didn’;t know how the feet were supposed to move. Still have trouble with dizziness, feel like vertigo, like you are somhow off a little bit. I will try to help as much as possible. I am here if you need to talk. Take care.
