Hemiplegic Migraine post-stroke

I had a ruptured aneurysm, craniotomy and stroke in 1992, and in he past year I’ve been having hemiplegic migraines. The symptoms mimic the thunderclap headache, loss of central vision and weakness on one side. I’m 49 now and realize these headaches could be hormonally triggered, I just wondered if anyone else here experienced these kind of headaches post-aneurysm/stroke?

Melissa,
I used to have some of the symptoms, the first year after rupture. I couldn’t tolerate the medication my neurologist wanted me on. Have they done the genetic testing yet?

Genetic testing for what? Do you mean a hormonal test? What kind of medication did the neurologist have you on?
Thank you,

Melissa
