Healing for my mum

Mel, So glad that your mum survived! What helped me was quiet, patience, and REST,REST,REST. Your mum will learn quickly how much the brain does for us and hard it works, even in everyday activities (talking, thinking, listening, filtering out sounds and voices, walking, etc., etc.), so it needs lots of rest. I found the book (Stroke of Insight) and online lectures by Jill Bolte Taylor to be really encouraging. I recommend it.

Thank you all for the amazing feedback. It really has reassured me so now i will reassure my mum . Its good to know people are out there who are kind and can relate sincerely. I honestly don't know where i would be without this site. Thank you all again
