I am sorry I dont get to get on her much but If I can offer support I do. I suffer from many health issues and had a few more surgeries this summer. When I first joined it was because of my sister who had two aneurysms rupture and survived but with damage to the brain and they wanted me and my sibling to be checked and we all had them there are four of us our brother passed away at a young age on a dirt bike. We all had surgery and each had different types of stents , I had four aneurysms that they put a pipe line diverter in three and I have a smaller one on the left side of my brain that is being watched I am due for my 7 year check up next year for another angiogram I had my last 5 years ago . Today after many test my daughter who is a Travel Nurse who has been being checked was told she has a small one they are sending her to a neuro surgeon. I am sick over this she is my only daughter who I raised alone after a horrible divorce. I am trying to just breathe today and just hope for a positive outcome . Life has not been good to me with my health so sometimes it is hard to be positive. She is in the DC area with great hospitals but I am nervous. I pray for any family or person going through this. Especially those who have had them rupture. I hope everyone that I have come across on here is doing well and coping the best they can with their own personal experiences . Have a Blessed Day

I am sooo sorry to hear that it has been such a challenging summer for you what with all your other health issues and now this news about your daughter as well!
I am glad at least to hear that she is in the general DC area, and has access to great (well, let’s be honest - fantastic!) hospitals - I am sure that helps to relieve your mind even if just for a moment.
Your posting reminded me of an organization I once stumbled across in one search, although I am jealous as it based out of the UK, and not the US.
Like you, I learned (post-rupture) that one of my parents has an aneurysm as well, so we seem to have a hereditary connection like you. Hence when I learned of HBA (Hereditary Brain Aneurysm) Support in the UK it struck a cord with me!
In particular, they have a number of free resource guides for patients, and I am linking to a couple that may/may not be of interest, but I appreciate you know what is best for you!

Do you think it might be helpful to work with a therapist or link up with a support group? BAF does list some in Massachusetts, as well as virtual ones in case it might help to connect with others.

So sorry to read about your daughter. I have two daughters and both were checked one time after my coiling of my first two . I now have 2 more that they are watching closely. I wish my daughters would take this more serious ! I have one in my neck and one on the aorta.
I will pray for you and your daughter ! I also have lots of health issues over the years. God has been good to me!
Thank you prayers to you and your Daughters , I think my siblings and our children are very proactive is because 4 of us had brain surgery in a year after my sisters ruptured, I think they should do screenings as a normal health check up , since this has happened to us I can’t believe how many people live with aneurysms . Hi Paisley59 - I had my unruptured aneurysm treated in the DC area - Medstar Washington Hospital Center - and was very happy with them .
That is good to hear she is a travel nurse and has been in that area that hospital actually sounds like one she may have worked at I will have to ask her. Thank you she has an appointment with a neurosurgeon next week
Genetics can certainly play a part for some of us. My Neurosurgeon Dr. Q-W certainly believes there can be a genetic link as she told us to tell my family even extended members when I ruptured. Not sure what it is but several of my family members were denied any type of imaging by their medical providers and one nephew blew it off. His sister found out recently they have a family member on the other side who had a rupture and didn’t make it. My niece still can’t get her neurologist to order the scans.
Health issues other than aneurysms can certainly complicate life more than one would think. Hate to read you’ve so much on your plate right now.
