I've had a 4 Vessel angiogram. I have a 19x5x7 fusiform of mid to dista apect of the right V-4 Vertebral artery. Three Drs have agree not to do surgery, one wants too. I have heard the good and the bad of the surgery. Can any one add to what I have? I know I'm the one that has to make the call. Thanks
Oh Richard I am not familiar with fusiform's but have seen others here (not many) have them too...I do hope you get some responses...~ Thoughts out to you ~ Colleen
Richard...can only extend prayers...
Of the three doctors who agree not to do surgery...What are they recommending?
Of the one suggesting surgery...does that mean the open surgery?
this BAF website lists some books...I have highly promoted Two Books on this forum group... I know one member who had fusiform at the Barrow Institute who was very pleased with her results...
Prayers to you for securing more info... and, visit w/more neuro-specialists...and/or ask more questions from the 3 ...and, what they are recommending...
Pat
The first three, no surgery due to the high risk, More than likely I wouldn't make it. God Bless
Richard...
Guess my thought is still wandering...on the distance...to the basilar artery, etc...and the shape of the fusiform w/the 19 X 5 and 7...
Prayers to you for your decision...and, that perhaps...you will seek more opinions...
Pat
Thanks God Bless
Richard, I don't really know anything about fusiforms, either. But prayers go out to you as you face this difficult decision. I agree with Pat - maybe a few other opinions, as well.
God Bless,
~ Carol
Thank you. God Bless
Richard...I briefly glanced at the Two Books...they have limited data on fusiform...
as you also find on-line...
Can you try another Forum w/a subject heading of Fusiform...perhaps generating more input from those members with that experience...?
You may already have addressed it in a blog....and, I missed it...
Continued prayers for your right decision...
Pat
