Waiting for my flow diverter stent surgery but I have managed pick up a virus and I have a terrible cough. I am getting an awful headache whenever I cough and I am.worried that this could cause a rupture. I am taking cough medicine to try and help but does not seem to be working. To be honest this is totally stressing me out, probably just me being over sensitive. I cannot make my mind up whether I need to go to A and E.or whether I am just wasting everyone’s time.

I honestly don’t know. I know I was told not to blow my nose hard after I ruptured as it increase the pressure in arteries. I would reach out to the specialist, or your PCP who knows your health history. Drink lots of fluids!
