Hi everyone,
I wanted to share a couple imaging scans with this community, as I know how much comfort and insight it brings to see what others have gone through.
First Image: This 3D angiogram scan from August 7, 2026, shows the aneurysm before my procedure (this is where the thrombus within the aneurysm was first suspected)
Second Image: This post-procedure scan from August 17, 2026, shows the final result, including a clear look at the clip in place.
It feels surreal to look at these side-by-side and see the physical proof of the repair. Navigating this whole experience has been a journey, and I’m so grateful for the shared understanding and support found here.
Wishing everyone on here strength and healing on your own paths.

These are great! It always helps me to have pictures I can’t thank you enough! I’m also a bit envious the only way I could share mine was by using my phone off my surgeon’s computer screen.

Hi @Moltroub
Thank you so much! It really does help to actually see what’s going on inside, doesn’t it? Though holding a phone up to a computer screen is honestly impressive, whatever works to get the picture!
I’m lucky that I have access to all my imaging and test results right in MyChart, so it was pretty easy to grab them.

Very jealous as neither WFBH posted them on MyChart and now Atrium Health has MyAtrium and they don’t post either. Seems like they should, obviously they could…. You’re correct, having a phone to take pictures is amazing! I remember saying my aneurysm looked like a PAC Man and then on another it looked like a witches hat now it looks like a tangled mess of yarn a kitten got hold of

That is so frustrating that they don’t upload them! But your descriptions literally made me laugh out loud!
Thank you for that! It’s so nice to be able to joke about it with people who truly get it. Looking at my before scan, mine honestly looks like an alien finger, totally giving off E.T. phone home vibes!

That’s hilarious! One of the NSICU RN’s asked me if I was flipping off my aneurysm, seems I kept rubbing my temple with my middle finger
. She’d learned enough about me that humor was how I got through the days.
