August is here! My brain is back to its usual wonkiness so life is great! Went to the Walmart yesterday with BH, I am appreciative that they’ve opened more lanes with an actual person to ring the items up. Self check out was very overwhelming for me. So thats a huge positive in my mind! We went and got our coffee beans at Hannah’s before going to Wally World and then to one of our favorite Italian/Greek diners. Always eat before going to the grocery store is our motto
Oh my gosh, they’ve changed owners! Same menu but subpar everything and then to Wally World. I was brain tired by the time we got home. Dogs were overjoyed we arrived so there’s a great positive. I nixed going to the big blue box store, we have to do it today.
Good thing the rain came and went taking the heat and humidity with it. I actually had to put on a light jacket yesterday, BH thought I was nuts! I may very well be but that has no bearing on if I’m cold or not and I have a lot of jackets since I ruptured or so I’m told. Some others at Wally World were also saying they were cold. We had about a 20 degree drop or more. I turned to BH and said see there, I’m not the only one!
Speaking about not being the only one, we have two new members to welcome!
@Kcedls7491 is in the Midwest of the USA which always makes me think of Chicago but there are more places than that in the Midwest. Susan shares she had an episode of not being able to get her words out that lasted no more than a minute. She knew she needed to get checked out, and went to her PCP. PCP referred her to neurology and 3 aneurysms were discovered so now she’s scheduled for her angiogram on August 18th. We know a bit about angiograms here, come talk to us by starting a new topic under the General tab!
@Sippie911 is out West in California. Steph had an angiogram and they’ve decided to clip the largest aneurysm on her MCA and coil the other two. So another with 3 aneurysms! Steph had been in a car accident resulting in her incidental findings. You can read more of her story here Not so patiently waiting for my Craniotomy... any tips? - #4 by ModSupport
Folks we also have a young mother that if y’all can help her out that would be great! Especially if you have been pregnant or your SO was pregnant and knew they had an aneurysm Pregnancy and Unwanted Aneurysm - #4 by Moltroub
As always, the way we receive support is by giving it in our little world of cerebral aneurysms. Please give generously it costs but a few minutes of your time, no money needed! Enjoy the week, find the positives and hug the ones you love when your able!
